Masoli, Tasker lead Ticats to big win over Argos!!

Jeremiah Masoli the quarterback, along with The wide receiver Luke Tasker, were the catalyst in the win against the now 3-8 Toronto Argos. As much as I like James Franklin from his days at Missouri University, he doesn’t seem like a good fit with the team. Brandon Burks the running back is doing well but, he wasn’t enough to get the W against the Ticats.

Masoli was fire!! He put 300 yards passing, 4 touchdowns all over the division rival. 3 of the 4 touchdown passes was received by Luke Tasker, who is the son of the Buffalo bills great Steve Tasker. Luke Tasker came from Ivy League Cornell University undrafted. Had a good college career, and a better pro, with the cats. In 2017,he caught 104 passes for 1,167 yards with 7 touchdowns. A franchise record, and tied 2nd in the league. Ranked 6th in the league for total yds. Luke Tasker was just resigned for 2 more years with Hamilton. Not surprised.

Tasker ended the game against Toronto with 4 receptions for 63 yards and 3 touchdowns which was his first time doing so in a game. A career high for the Ticat phenom.

The game was very close though winning by only 14 points, you’ll take whatever you can get. The win also puts the Ticats atop of the East Division in a two way tie with the Ottawa Redbacks. It’ll be a interesting game as who will be number 1 in that division will be settled the following week when they play one another. Masoli is aware of his teams position, and what’s at stake during next week’s contest as he states in an interview ” That’s it right there, for top spot in the East Division. We’ll be full go when that comes around”.

The Hamilton Tigers are now above .500 at 8-7, while Ottawa is on their tail with a slightly similar record, over .500 at 8-6. The Cats will enjoy the 3-0 sweep of the Argos today, but tomorrow, it’s time to prepare for the divisional showdown with Ottawa. Excited to see what Masoli and Tasker can do down the road for this franchise. Y’all both balled out this game, keep up the good work Hamilton Tiger-cats are your winners against the Toronto Argonauts 34-20. God bless.
